For the past five years I've been working with Kindle Project, a outside-the-box grantmaking organization that supports wild solutions by unusual suspects in an attempt to move mountains.
Through this work I've come to be quite the philanthropy nerd.
I'm rather obsessed with the idea of how wealth and resources can be moved more effectively, creatively, and honestly to the people and groups that need it the most (a.k.a the grassroots). Last year at Kindle Project, we launched the Indie Philanthropy Initiative. A project I am proud to say is the home and meeting space for other philanthropy nerds like me who are ready to activate a creative disruption to the status quo of funding.
